Just started watching this and I'm captivated by this post apocalyptic world where there is still an innocent who has hope. The show is laced with humor here and there and action, adventure and some scenes that yank at the heart. It's a fully rounded fantasy with elements for all.

I had been watching a HULU series and caught a glimpse of an episode when my husband was watching it. So I dropped what I was watching as this one had a lot more action. There was a lot of explaining in the dialog, which I thought was a bit cheezy ,but understood as it would have gone over heads otherwise. However, there is that entire "show, don't tell" thing. So this was bothersome. Ava's character also seemed a bit spirited for someone who spent over 10 years of her life as a quadriplegic. I didn't buy into the strength she had, even while shrugging off her "calling." However, the series was captivating and every episode ended in a scene that had you letting the next one run. All in all, I was drawn in, but it was more by the other characters and the tension between them. I would like to see what happens next, but don't want a drawn out 8 episodes that could be told in two.
