Vettaiyan is an absolute surprise for me...never expected a content oriented Rajini film like this....Watched in theatre with family twice and now in Prime. Movie starting with strong message from Amitabh ( lawyer ) sir on Machaley formula of education for all and ends with Rajini ( hunter policemen) saying that police are protector of people. The transformation of hunter to protector is the intent of the movie. The director finds the root cause of hunters problem as lack of knowledge which is making the corporates to do plunder the poor easily. Being a Rajini fan, I would have crafted Amitabh role to Rajini and Rajini role to any young hero like Dhanush or SK or VJS... Amitabh role is more stronger to this movie than Rajini. Content wise the movie is altogether against fascism🙂,....provide education and law equally to all... I felt like Till now we ( larger proportion of people) have been allowed to educate very little of knowledge where as the unknown is still more to explore ( just like the Buds theory). The director T.J Gnanvel is really a very deep knowledge guy. Hats off to you Director for making use of Rajini in the most essential way.

Very good movie which describes the importance of relational support for man and women to survive in this world. Well crafted direction and screenplay. Feel good movie.

One of the finest political thriller that indian cinema has ever seen. A perfect mass movie. Credit to the director for making slow and steady narration. I personally enjoyed watching this movie. I would give 5 star rating just for the screenplay and clear narration of this little complicated story. Mohanlal sir simply awesome . Nobody else can be thinked off for this role. The director finally stands out of all. Great debut for actor prithviraj sukumaran as a director.
