Had a great time watching it. Mark Petrie was my favorite character. That kid kicked some Vamp butt! Way better than the Mark from the OG movie. I like the pacing, they kept is suspenseful and creepy through out. You'll really enjoy it unless you're one of those die hard obsessed Stephen King fan. I see a lot of these one stars being those types of people. It's a good creepy movie for Halloween and one of the better Vampire movies that have came out lately.

Confusing and the main character was extremely frustrating and annoying. Like every dumb decision you can think of she did. Most of the movie is repetitory and could have been shortened. I would not recommend it.

I loved this movie! Its actually better than TCM, story and character development wise. The old lady was super creepy and the camera shots were wonderful especially when the old woman was being creepy in the background. LOTS of SEX and naked people but honestly the story and then the horror makes you forget about all that. I wouldn't recommend watching this with family but you should definitely check it out. *Spoilers* It took me half way through the movie to realize Maxine and Pearl are played by the same actress which made the Pearl's back story all the more intriguing. Also explains a lot about why she kills. Pearl and Maxine's story is about loss of time, settling, regret, repression, and also ... well Sex. For Pearl it was like she was looking into the past. Causing her to feel a deep longing for what she lost due to time. Love the writing, characters and shots. Lol the writers did Lorraine dirty. Max is the queen and my new fav final girl.

Another horror movie where the gay characters are tortured and killed.

Sigh I've liked all the requels like Halloween and Scream but this wasn't very good. The writing/plot was a flop. They focus on the back story of the new Survivor but give this strange orphanage plot hole of a back story for Leatherface which didn't make sense and they didn't revisit it. The meeting with Sally was so weird and honestly felt like a rip off of Halloween 2018 but worse. It was an awkward meeting and it honestly made me feel this Leatherface wasn't the real one. IDK the ending was jarring/was so open ended but not in a good way. I rewatched the first Texas Chain Saw Massacre before watching this one and I didn't see any real connection with the house from the OG film until the after credits which makes the orphanage back story even more weird. The action and horror are good but the story just didn't make sense. The 2013 film made more of an effort with connecting it to the OG movie in their timeline. I wouldn't recommend this and I don't usually say that about horror movies. I really blame the writing; the camera shots and some of the acting was good! But the story ... oof the poor story. And poor Sally.

Spoilers* Just got done watching the movie and I loved it even though they killed off Dewey 😭😢 it was still good. The connection to the first movie with the characters was fun and exciting. It was a good way to make a New movie series. The 1 star reviews on here seem very petty and pathetic honestly. You guys are sounding like the killers in this movie. Calm down with that drama before you try and make your own slasher. I thought this was a good introduction to a new take. I wish they gave Dewey a better death though. I liked Tara that girl went through it the most in this movie I swear. I was really happy the Meek Twins survived. It was satisfying to watch that one chick get lit on fire. So deserved! I'm excited to see where they go with this new franchise. I'm glad Sidney is getting a break and she has 2 little girls!!!!! With Mark the Cop from the 3rd Scream. I still feel like there were more than 2 killers in this movie. I feel like there was a 3rd. Something just felt off. I guess the sequel will be the Judge of that. I liked it 9 out of 10.

The story was great but like all Asian horror movie endings, it has a surprise twist that just doesn't make sense. The ending would have been great if they hadn't added an extra min which is just confusing and throws the rules that the movie lays down with the phone out the window.
