The BIBLE... In the beginning is one of the under appreciated treasures of 60's films. One interesting fact about this . movie is that the director, John Huston was an atheist. John Huston found the bible to be a work of art and set out to film the entire old Testament word for word. The film received very little success, so nothing else was planed by by Huston for sequels. Along with The Passion of the Christ, Ben-Hur, The Ten Commandments, The bible is one of the few non cheesy religious films there is.
