Today on your "talk of the day" parts: After listening to the mother who wrote "Raising Boys" book and Tony showing his young son's interest on the computer of Ballet: As a retired school counselor, I'm very aware of the of the ongoing pressure boys feel treated by other boys as incapable, or"girly" as you said etc. This simply gets them off social connections, hiding emotions or shoving them into a fighting or competition habit. Show them retired Lynn Swann: Super NFL or Ballerina? on Sports Illustrated. It's an interview showing this retired Pittsburg Steeler football team member doing ballet on Mr Rogers showing the kind of talent any successful NFL member needs. This is a great lesson for both girls & boys & could hopefully increase respect, kindness and conversations vs competition thought as fighting.
