Second Finnish drama I have seen recently. Bordertown was the first. Similar scenarios in each. Strong leads and excellent plots, especially with the corporate intrigue in addition to the murder and mayhem. Deadwind ending was a clear setup for another season. Hope so.

Finally, Audrey Fleurot in another starring role. I have been in love with her since her star turn in SPIRAL. Wonderful actress who brings class and passion to the screen. SPIRAL season 7&8 are shown in France, however is not available in USA yet. Bummer.

First Finnish drama I have seen and glad I did. Interesting dynamic between Kari and rest of his colleagues. Lena is the only one who truly trusts Kari and his unique way of looking at a case. In addition, she is the only one who can stand up to him. Must be her Russian background. If there is a fourth season, look for them to get closer.

Interesting overarching story line was muddled with the ridiculous exploits of the Super Woman Emily, who constantly performed heroic feats which were not to be believed. Come on, storming a camp armed with 100 soldiers and then capturing the evil guy at the top? Come on, get real.

Besides Soames, the vilest character was surely Jolyon. He was a hypocrite by telling his son not to do what he had done. Jolyon left a wife and child to be with his "true love." Then on his deathbed he tells Jon not to be with his true love because of "family matters." What a hypocrite; he costs his son the happiness he himself once had.

Great show. Not on Netflix, or Amazon, but it is on BRITBOX. Only 5 seasons, but still worth it.
