They say begggars are not choosers but this was one very choosy beggar. She is so forgiving of her mom but nobody else in her life. That didn't really make sense. Maddy was well regulated and happy the entire time, despite all the drastic changes she and her mom went through. That was not a true reflection of how such changes can affect a young child, so that part was very unrealistic. Children love stability and routine and structure, and any disturbance to any of that can really be disruptive to a child. None of that was reflected in the storyline.
