This movie is soooo good so beautiful! The songs are so funny and catchy, it breaks so many stereotypes, I love everything! My daughter have seen it at this point maybe 12 times! With me and my husband 3, lol Our new favorite! Very good job Disney amazing! I recommend it highly for everyone that have ever felt like they don’t belong, so much to learn for all families! We are all colors! We are all humans! We all in the end want the same: to be loved 🥰 Now for those who read the bad reviews, are worried o just didn’t get the movie: (spoilers) 1.- The main character is the family madrigal, the family, not each of them, they as a family not a perfect one but one that love each other and in the end find a way to work through their issues and finally support each other without putting expectations in each of them. 2.-The casita/gift represents the blessing this couple (the abuela and his husband) received after have lost everything! EVERYTHING because when you have to run from what you are, what you believe in, where you live and those who you love you will never be complete again, the abuela received this gift and is so worry about their responsibility to share it and uphold it with the rest of the other displaced families, she forget that the most important part is to never take those who love you for granted, and to let everyone choose their own path. 3.- The hero of the story Marisol didn’t get a gift and of course is explained why, if she did, she would have been like everyone else in the house, following a purpose and immediately using her gift to help the people of her town, all of them have to, they weren’t allowed to be theirselves, and all of them understood that with “great power comes great responsibility” lol so all of them were happily doing what was best for their family and their town because ALL of them BELIEVE in doing a greater good. With her not getting a gift she was the only one FREE and in realizing that being able to in the end liberate all others in their family too. 4.- All of the song have a lot of BEAT! All Latins are not MEXICANS, Mexico is 1 Latin country, there is over 30 more, and they have something in common, we all love a good beat, no all Latin songs are balads or mariachis (which are a lot easier to follow and also so beautiful) Conclusion: If you see life as black or white, if you have never been displaced or feel like an outsider, if you have never been force to feel real fear and decided to keep on fighting and find a way to still be happy and grateful, you might not get this movie, is not that is too deep or anything like that, all the concept are there on the front row, is just that this are concepts that you are not able to understand just yet. You didn’t get Raya, or Soul either, spoiler alert any of these movies was culturally washed down enough for you to understand it, in short they are trying to transmit a message but instead you were stock in what you know and understand so much so you missed the message itself. So take a red pill and open your universe bro! 😎 it’s amazing out here. No black or white but so many grades and colors! Lol But like I said at the beginning if at any time you have felt really felt that you don’t belong this movie is for you (-: YOU ARE SPECIAL! It doesn’t matter who tells you otherwise!

So bad, so extremely bad, the acting is pathetic, but the absolutely worse is the writing! Is so bad it was painful to see, it will work for you if you are a teenager, but if you are a fan of the original comic forget about it, the best part was that it end it. I hope it doesn’t get renew, there is so many better written and directed shows, this one really doesn’t deserve anyone’s time. (This review is only for season two, season one was very enjoyable, with his flaws but doable, season two was painful painful to watch)

Omg it’s been so long since I actually enjoy a show! So fresh so F&$@@ amazing! A Latin fear of god mom and wife and I found this show making me laugh, cry and feel soooo understood! If you have ever feel like a freak you will enjoy this! Amazing show, I set through the whole 6 episodes, couldn’t stop! Thank you for bringing it to the US.! It made me feel so nice to see sooo many of my Muslim beautiful friends being represented! Love love love!

This is one of those movies that critics don’t like but PEOPLE love, I loved it! Lol my daughter and all her friends (which she have made me paid several times so they can see it again and again) love it, so it totally works for me, I really appreciate all the changes done so Jazmine have a bigger and more important role, is good for little boys and girls to see a more balanced line in the story and not just the boys doing everything important. What I love the most is Will’s performance, is soooo sooo good! If you have kids this is a MUST see.
