I enjoyed the movie, good pacing, decent plot (not unlike a variation on Gene Hackman's Bat 21), decent characters. ****** SLIGHT SPOILER *********** My only criticism is that the final climax hinges on what seems to be a really stupid plot device. you're telling me the only way to reach a military command center with access to drones, air strikes, etc. is a "public phone" hanging in the middle of the rec room? there's no operator at the end of that line directing calls, just if someone happens to walk by in the rec room? that soldier's satphone doesn't have a direct connection to the operations room? C'mon!!!

Loved the first episode. The fresh take on the old legend. A more interesting rework of harker and van helsing. And Bang as the bemused sophisticate but monstrous predator was really great acting. Episode 2 was good but less. Nice contrast and eventual linking of what appears to be a flashback and chess game between 2 protagonists. And then there was 3... jumped the shark and just plain boring.i didn't mind the ending but everything else was boring, not believable or just poor writing. I really wanted to like it. Luckily episode 1 could stand on it's own and end there.

it's just not that funny in the end. lots of stereotypes, tropes, surface level sh#$. ie lazy writing. but what does Ja Rule think? better yet, what does Lenny Kravitz think, cuz this isn't the first time there's a black-jewish couple. and yea, jews are really in the same bag as white people in the US (nevermind, there's different groups of whites that don't mix), but i guess that's what generalisations get you. I think the most disappointing thing is the cast are amazing actors but were under-utilised. Eddie Murphy's character was so cartoonish. Julia is so much funnier than this. list goes on.
