This show was enjoyable right up until Season 5 before Danny Masterson was written off. His character was a necessary component of the show, without him it has just become another predictable, overly dramatic soap opera. All the leading characters have lost what made them so authentic to begin with. The last season with the addition of Dax Shepard isn't so awful because Luke isn't Rooster. Initially it seemed as though Luke could bring his own spin to the show. Then the writers started messing with everyone while trying to find an even keel. It is horrible drivel, not worth even tuning back in to find out where the next season goes. I sincerely hope this show doesn't get renewed and if it does, that they kill off Abby next as the flakiest, whiniest and least supportive wife ever. The Ranch started out so popular because it was a slice of rarely glimpsed American life that is more like reality than what we see on most "reality" shows. And it was funny, made you laugh and feel good watching. Rarely would you see an episode without cracking a smile at some dumb thing the brothers would say or do. Now it's just pathetic. Some writers just don't seem to pay any attention to their audience and what actually draws people in.
