Even the original story line from the medieval poem made no sense. This movie doesn't salvage that story line. It appears Morgan Le Fay casts a spell to summon the Green Knight to King Arthur's court in order to prevent Sir Gawain from ascending to the throne after Arthur's death. But who the hell knows? What follows is one senseless adventure after another that doesn't flatter the main character. Lobbing off heads seems to be the consistent theme. But the reason remains elusive. Very professionally filmed and staged but if you are looking for any reason of thought - don't bother. Just get high and enjoy the ride. And keep your head.

The ex gave me this book and the companion workbook for Christmas in 2003. I started journaling in the workbook and reading the text as soon as I could. The ex found my journal and used the material in my explicit writing as a reason to divorce me in 2004. So I destroyed the pages in the journal she found so offensive and did not touch the book or the workbook again until 2019. I hauled this book set around North America from 2004 until this year when I finally finished the text and have the workbook mostly full of my writing. I wish I could say the material brought me profound insights and revelations but I can't. Frankly I have seen better material elsewhere. I did make the mistake of thinking the reading, instructions and exercises would make me a better and more prolific artist and a writer. But it did not. If you are looking for artistic self improvement it might be a good place to start but curb your enthusiasm. It doesn't really deliver.
