Just watching the episode today, the lady is showing a fur object which she is cleaning and restoring & dying.
She is calling it 'mohair' but looking at it, it is quite obviously fun-fur or faux fur. Faux fur has a backing & can be bought for $2.00 up to about $15.00 per metre & it is very nice but it is not mohair which comes from the animal. It is often used for knitting yarn & I have made 1 cardigan & 2 jumpers (sweaters) in the past with it.
