Overriding thing I could not get by is the awful Scottish accents....why oh why do did they not just get Scottish actors!

This show is truly inspirational. Cinematography and directing are breathtaking. You find yourself totally immersed and becoming very attached to the characters and they way they are intertwined. Historically accurate showing the true torture of war and balanced superbly with the love, hate and all emotions that are brought about by war.....absolutely loved this show, can honestly say it’s the best I’ve seen of it’s type.
