This was an enormous disappointment. Forget the meandering of me (43yr old) who adored the first film. This was a let down. When a 6 yr old tells you it’s boring half way through and he notices all the ads (google. , Snapchat etc) and calls them ads then you have failed or succeeded. The worst film I had seen before this was the Emoji movie. Something about this felt removed from the heart and soul of the character. An uneventful and unnecessary sequel. Game Over 😞

I was certainly a little nervous going into this film. Luckily I got the Transformers movie that finally matched the old school (and best) version of the transformers franchise. Gen1 transformers, wonderful colour and easy to see. A solid story and genuinely laugh out loud moments. Transformers done right. A 6 yr old loved it and a 43 yr old liked it. More please ! Some folks might call this a little kiddy friendly but it certainly has a blend of things for adults and kids. This is not Michael Bay all out stupid action. Wonderfully choreographed action scenes. Michael Bay is hopefully going to be forgotten or dismissed once they throw a few more better made films. Transformers was a very strong social commentary cartoon for its time and you can see it takes some steps back to its root. They said John Cena was in this , but I couldn’t see him. A super fun and solid contribution to the robots in disguise ☝️
