I wanted to watch this film before Pagglait, given the comparisons that were talked about. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait. I felt both uncomfortable, being witness to the atmosphere that is all too familiar in Indian households during the supposed mourning period, and sad at the realisation of why it can't be anything but this! The loss is felt by a few, but the circus is for all! And this is portrayed so beautifully throughout the film. So often I caught myself hoping for some resolution and coming together of the family and the beauty lies in the fact that there wasn't any. At least not anything on the surface. The journey of self- reflection it left everyone on, was a delight to watch-the only bit where one finds it too good to be true....
I am an admirer of Seema Pahwa as an actress, and am now looking forward to more beautiful stories told by her. Thank you for this treat!
