Ellen Page and Cameron Britton's acting outpaces those with whom they share the screen; the rest of the cast cannot help but wither with a weak script and forced melodrama. There are lazy time travel tropes and loopholes that are equally convenient and inconvenient when it serves the plot. The plot and script feel like someone took all the socially relevant and important allegories from X-Men and replaced them with daddy issues.
