Although engaging and based on a true story and the book, the film dwells mostly on the negatives. In real life, George got out of prison early by testifying against former friend Carlos, who betrayed him. For a significant part of his life, George seemed to be wealthy and happy.

Tedious and slow. I didn't like it (I am a huge Star Trek fan).

Interesting and provocative. Especially since this is future A-list movie star Rutger Hauer's film debut.

Iconic, entertaining 70s exploitation movie. A poor man's Shaft.

Good production values, and an interesting approach to telling the story of this part of the war. However, the story is all over the place, and the violence and cruelty are hard to watch. 6/10.

What starts out on a somber note turns out to be a kind of surreal romantic comedy, of sorts. Full of sexy women, it's a bit of enjoyable escapism.

Funny and good. Clever, snappy dialog and acting.
