I used to watch the old one with my mother when I was a little kid. She had the whole collection on VHS in the early 2000s, and on weekends she'd let me stay up late and watch it with her. Didn't know there was a new one until last year, but I couldn't even finish the first episode. They were way ahead of their time, and any attempt to replicate it won't be the same. Rod Serling's narrations were always spot on, and a perfect combo between fascinating and utterly jarring.
