Lazy woke messages are slammed in endlessly through the series, but they check off every intersectionality box in the first episode as Texans are portrayed as ignorant bigots who must be educated by woke "New California City" transplants. All of Texas is depicted as Austin which is depicted as a cartoonish version of itself. It insults anyone with an IQ above 90. It is no wonder Liv Tyler left as quickly as possible.
