Whether you study Stoicism or not, love the Emperor or not, you will not be disappointed purchasing this book!
Information: This book is Marcus' diary. He did not publish this book, nor expected thousands of people to study him 1,800 years later. Yes, that's roughly how old the book is, for he reigned from 161AD until 180AD.
The only difficulty one may encounter in the book is the way the words are written. For instance, the word "Whole". You may find, for instance, that he refers certain good happening to the Whole. You may find your answers through learning a little about Stoicism, or even by simply googling the terms. Note that delaire being Roman Marcus Aurelius write this in Greek (I guess educated people thought it praiseworthy to do so), meaning translating the text may not have been too easy and the translator had to use a word that best English word available to matche the Greek ones
There are different translations of the book. This means that some books were interpreted not just by different individuals but at differentent times. I have the Martin Hammond translation which was published im 2006.
