Definitely my favorite science fiction series. The cast, writers and set designers have all done an unbelievable job bringing the books to life. The series manages to create a gritty, entirely believable future without losing that sense of wonder and flashes of optimism that have always helped elevate the genre above simple drama, and the chemistry between the principle actors really glues it all together. Skip this one at your own peril.

Surprisingly well crafted movie from a rather obscure and off-beat manga about the remains of humanity trapped in an unimaginably large, out of control automated city. The fight scenes and visuals are very well done, while the story stays simple and to the point.
