I’m a big King fan and elements of his writing definitely come through in this horror flick. However, Macht’s cheesy attempt at a New England accent ruined it for me. Whatever he was trying to do, it didn’t work. It was a weird mix of southern plantation and New England with a lot of swapping back and forth. The exterminator and the drifter were well acted as was the lead female role. The movie delivers its horrors in a slow burn in a decrepit New England textile mill. Plenty of vermin-based horrors and poor behavior by locals along the way.
