Other than the blatant man hating by making all the villains male... it wasn't as painfully feminist as let's say, Super Girl. It was an enjoyable film, there was plenty of female angst but not enough for it to be cringe. There were little touches of 'fem power' that I appreciated, there wasn't any "why.. because she's a girl?" and that itself pushes me to give it another star. I apologise for the unprofessional review but there you go.
