Joseline's Real Estate instead of Joseline's Cabaret. I don't think these ladies really want to do real estate. I watched this for mostly inspiration and insight or information, and some good entertainment; I mostly got mild entertainment from it. I'm on episode 5 out of 8 episodes. I'm more than halfway through and I only learned what NOT to do, or I got some weird sadness thinking that business has to be done in a certain way in order to succeed (sexualize yourself, overtly flirt, and gain leads through off-site or even onsite schmoozing to say the least). I had to pause the show for a couple hours during my binge and come back and do a lot of fast forwarding passed one of the agents not knowing a motherloving thing about the property, and the other in a very revealing outfit literally prostitute herself or inappropriately hint towards it for the sale!!! For what?! I'm sure she thinks she's sharp along with her young coworker who rushed to take a sale for less than HALF the selling price and via VIDEO CALL. But these buyers are millionaire men. They are by far smarter than you honey booboo. Their character is the young ones "changing the game" and I'm SURE they are successful and that's great, but I'm also SURE that they aren't as smart as they think they are, or they are just dumbing themselves down.
I am also sure that the Selling Sunset and Million Dollar Listing shows or whatever they're called has a lot of under the table conflict of interest dirty handshakes too! But they don't reveal it like this. And if they do reveal it, they can. This is a show about black people particularly black women. They have the least stake and shares in many industries sadly. This show reveals some reasons as to why that might be. They have every right to dance and twerk and dress sexy and drink and fight all they want! But NOT on a show that is about your profession. Do a different show that is not about real estate but a show that is about women in real estate instead.
This was a show meant to be about real estate and it wasn't. Do not feel like a boring sellout for conducting yourself professionally. You are quite simply making things harder. I leave this show still motivated to embark on my own business endeavors, but not because of the show. If anything I learned how not to do things.
That being said I really like Rena. I look at her and smile. She, seemingly, is the professional you should market yourself as and I am rooting for her brokerage not that she needs my blessing. I think it was aggressive and messy how she approached taking clientele and employees from her current employer, and many employers even have stipulations against that. But since she is an independent contractor I assume she can do that. However I think it was messy. And it was even messier how the young lady openly agreed to it. This is simply not the behavior of someone who really cares about their profession lol. They are simply here for money of any kind and a reality tv career. These ladies might even take the newfound popularity and profit from the show and do something totally unrelated to real estate which is fine but don't do a show about real estate then!
