Just finished watching the series last night and let me tell you.... I have seen a lot of shows but this one remains superior. The cast, the props, the storyline, the ost... Everything is just excellent. This show really gives one a reality check. Before starting the series, I read a lot of reviews and personally I'm not a fan of watching shows with sad endings, it just doesn't feel right to watch them. Thus I was in a dilemma, whether to watch or not but nevertheless I started watching it and couldn't stop myself from completing it. The ending.... Is not sad at all lol. Tbh, this is the only ending the show can have. It's not about who gets Hae Soo (IU) in the end, it's more about the love shared between her and Wang So (Joon Gi), the struggles they go through together for love and the political input the show has. It's not like those other shows who change the actual historical facts just to give a happy ending. Obviously, this is a series so they have given it a creative change, the whole plot of Hae Soo going back in time and all but in the end, the history remains unchanged. There is a very clever use of storyline, kuddos to whoever wrote this one! And for the the most important question that many people may have, this story doesn't has a sad ending, according to me, it's like the end of a new beginning. Marriage doesn't ensure love, same goes for the story. This is very very interesting story and I think people should definitely watch it. It's very creative and have a realistic side. The actors are amazing at their job and this story will definitely leave you with a curiosity of what can happen next? So don't worry, just watch the show, you'll love it!
