I love MSNBC and all the host. I live in Cuyahoga Country (where Cleveland is located). I applied for an absentee ballot which the state started sending them out on October 6th and mine arrived on October 8th. I filled it out and drove to downtown Cleveland on October 9th to put it in the drop box--it was so easy and once I exited I-71 at Chester, I turned the corner onto East 30th by the BOE. They had staff at the curb collecting our ballots, we watched them deposit the ballot into the dropbox and drove away--it took all of 5 minutes. However, those voting in-person for early voting had long lines. I checked my ballot online and it was posted as received on October 10th. My sister-in-law mailed her ballot on Oct 11th and I checked online for her (she doesn't have a computer) and her ballot was posted as received on Oct 16th.
To help out, I signed up to be a poll worker for the first time and went to a 2.5 hour workshop on it. Of all the people at the meeting all except two were repeat workers. We have to be at the polling center on Monday, Nov rd from 6 p,m.to 9 p.m.and on Nov 3rd from 5:30 a.m. to at least 9 p.m.--a long day. From what I learned at the meeting, the whole voting process seems very secure.
