Jack Sokol – Google

Love this movie. I watched it back in the day and was absolutely stunned by it in a way that I cannot describe. I don't want to go into spoilers, but Zed is Everyman and his issues are our issues. We live in a highly programmed and controlling environment. This has been an issue for humanity since day one. Step outside the line and get smacked. Zed does not take this lying down but tackles the root of the problem. Boorman tackles the issue of freedom in a not-so-distant future. As the oh so very Rich folk of our day seem to plot our demise but squeezing the lifeblood out of everyone, they build not-so-secret lairs to ride out the storm they created. This is a very insightful and prophetic movie. It's also delightfully filmed and acted in the wild countryside of western Ireland. David Munro made this one soundtrack. His life was far too short and his contribution to Early Music was absolutely genius.

Levin is trying to stoke the fire for a new Red Scare. This is nothing less than dangerous propaganda. His motivation is skewed since he’s a popular Fox talk show host. He wants nothing more than money, fame and power. The Truth be damned. The basic argument is that everyone who is not a dyed in the wool Conservative is a Communist. Progressives, Liberals, Democratic Socialists … all Communists according to Levin’s false equivalency. That is simply Not True. There are far less Commies hiding under your bed today than there were in 1952. The divisions in the USA need to heal, than to be further separated and divided by phony ideas and witch-hunts ginned up by ranting talk show hosts.
