Great show, I couldn’t stop watching. I’ve seen the advertising and was curious but I finally watched all through season 5.
I have to agree with just about all the comments. In other words not much to add. I loved the fashion. Great outfits befitting of its era. The music didn’t reflect the times but at least they danced a type of jazzy Charleston. I liked all the characters, even ms. Carmen. Great acting!
I loved the love scenes and the drama most times. Overall I liked the different portrayals of women’s repression and injustice of these times. Some still exit today but women have more options and rights. Even though there’s always room for improvement.
My only negative Is Lydia leaving Carlos for
Francisco with Carlos’ child. Although it was not fun to watch I thought it was even worse to see Lydia and Francisco, and the cable girls blame Carlos for the young girl running away to Spain in the middle of a war. I disliked the end so much, I felt Lydia had it coming at the end of season 5, especially after they shoot Carlos. I like Francisco but Carlos deserved better. Not right!
