possible spoiler Ok when I went to see this movie I had low expectations expcially having a prediction of what the third act was going to be like already written out a month in advise... I was 99% correct. Though even so I was curious since I knew JJ abrams was trying to salvage the story from the disaster the last Jedi was. As I watch I very impressed at how well JJ Abrams did at salvaging the story. I know that if the Last Jedi was made by JJ Abrams the way he had envisioned I’d be giving this movie a four star for sure. Though the big reason that I had to give this movie 3 stars is because of the third act though Again SPOILER. The third act was the fight scene between palpatine, Rey and Ben. It took all of two seconds after entering the room Ben was thrown down this canyon leaving Rey and her grandpa to hash it out. Let’s pause and look back a who has fought palpatine. Mace, he almost won but Vader stepped in. Yoda he lost and Vader dies saving Luke and almost killing palpatine but yet he still lives. Three of the strongest force users ever could not kill palpatine. Within a matter of maybe a min Rey with minimal struggle kills palpatine. Seriously, no help or anything just two lightsaber very poorly written. Next Ben survive to do what oh transfer what was left of his life to Rey killing off the last skywalker... what’s this movie called again death of the skywalks. No oh yeah rise of the skywalkers. How’s that possibile well simple Rey lies and undercuts her arc which was don’t be afraid of who you are own it. She doesn’t really own her lineage in that last scene. If Ben survived they could have been married making her related to the skywalkers at the least but no this is another moment where it feels like the hand of kathine Kennedy was involved saying I don’t want Ben to help her kill palpatine. As well it’s a moment where the fact that Rey wasn’t suppose to be a palpatine she was supposed to be a skywalker but because of the last Jedi things changed but they wanted her to end up as a skywalker because that was what she was supposed to be. Maybe next time Disney will not allow They do a serious it will be one direction and writer for all three to keep the story heading in the same direction

Horrible movie so many plot holes and stupid moment it’s a middle finger to the Star Wars fan and derails this new series. Expcially the end as well as the scene with the little stable boy trying to infer that anybody can be a Jedi. Though the issue there is that unless your Rey who is mrs Kennedy sexist creation. You can not without training move something with your mind. This isn’t even the prequel where jedis and there ability would be better know but are still in some areas called myths. Now in the time of the first order Luke skywalker is a fairy tale myth in some regens in others he either doesn’t exist or just a regular guy. So what that scene is telling us is that you don’t need a teacher you don’t need to train and train to move something around the room no you just need to run into a rebel who has no connection to jedis have her give you a ring and that’s it now your able to force pull. Can we please from here on out actually get people who understand even how even the original series works and what made it so great. I can tell you it’s not having somebody who doesn’t struggle with anything and needs any training to be your main character
