I’m not a big mystery movie guy, but I heard this movie was good and decided to give it a watch. I didn’t watch knives out 1, but you don’t have to to get the movie. Now, I can say that it’s true about the clues being carefully placed in a great way, but the pacing is very off. It seems that whenever they give you a question to think about, they immediately answer it; leaving the audience having no sense of mystery. Not to mention that almost the whole second act is a flashback. It’s still a fun watch, I certainly don’t know how it could be written better, but the pacing gets pretty annoying. My only major complaint is the ending: yikes. They tried to make it seems badass but also funny? Just didn’t work. Overall, a good popcorn flick to passively watch if you have 2 hours to kill.

A pretty average Christmas film, but it’s way better then I thought it would be. The whole thing seems a lot like a Home Alone ripoff though. And, they couldn’t get the rights to the official song, so it never plays in the movie.

Meh. It’s a mediocre movie. The traps are cool, which is really what you watch it for. But besides that, it isn’t too great. There is way too much screen time on the robbers, and the whole Home Alone bit just seems like a side plot. I don’t know what they were thinking when they tried to get us sympathetic for the “villains.” Not gonna lie, I completely forgot it was a Christmas movie until the end. TLDR: Okay if you watch with low expectations

A great Christmas movie, might just become my new yearly tradition. However, it’s basically just a 2 hour ad for the book.

Idk why everybody says it’s so great. By all means, it wasn’t bad! But it’s nothing special. I guess it’s a good excuse to eat some popcorn. I liked the action but thought there was too much screaming. Yep. Good movie. Just good.

Kinda funny but I got better things to do for an hour. Watch with some friends

I remember watching this as a kid and just thinking of it as the office but with cops. So I decided to start watching the whole thing and see if it holds up. First few seasons- actually really funny. On par with something like parks and rec- so if you like that show I’d strongly recommend giving this a go. Not a single character I don’t like. Second and third seasons? Awesome television! So yeah, think of it like Parks and Rec with Hot Rod- maybe with a bit of the office mixed in there. The second half sucks tho. Too many sex jokes- especially from Charles, Hitchcock, and Jake- and it becomes predictable. Terry flexing his pecs is also not funny but they do it too much. Editing is also way too fast and the lines don’t have enough time to breathe. I’ve watched all the seasons except 8, which I’m getting close on. So far the first two episodes of 8 are just terrible- not even a single laugh. Some of the worst sitcom episodes I’ve ever seen. Third episode was on par with how the show usually is. TLDR: watch the first 4 or 5 seasons and then GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE! I have NO idea why people praise the later episodes so much.

Don’t watch while high, stoned, zooted, buzzed, or anything else of the matter.
