I love the characters, and I loved the creative way she used this series of fairytales to tell a completely original new tale. Very creative series over all...but I hate the pacing of this last installment and the way the middle unfolds. It’s jerky and it feels disjointed, like she knew what scenes she wanted in the story , but not how to make them come together smoothly. It feels kind of like “...then THIS happens...then THIS. Now look over THERE! Climax. PSYCH! 400 pages to go!”
