To be fair I found this, after much anticipation, dull with an extremely very poor plot, only hammed up to match the original. Yes, the air combat scenes were very good, but apart from that, it just felt a bit too cheesy and lacklustre. Almost to the point of all out laughter in many places throughout the film. It's not 1985 anymore ! Why did it not feel more up to date ? They complained about the age of the plane they stole to get back to the aircraft carrier....Why didn't they take a look at the script !! The ending was absolutely appalling, never have I seen so many over posed out sunsets in one film, hysterical ! Sorry Tom, but you've done much better I'm afraid.

Off the wall and very immersive. A good watch without the need for an over complicated storyline. Research the poem which it is based from.

Really ??? What a load of twaddle, awfully acted....I really think the BBC did a terrible job of this. Please spare us another series....sure they won't though...!Shocking waste of tax payers money. Cringeworthy at best....the ending ? Utter bolony ! If you want a decent Weish drama series try Hinterland maybe. Rant over !
