the movie is missing one main thing (besides a plot)… it’s Venom kicking ass. If you want heartfelt comedy Spider-Man fits the bill.

Prepare to cry like you’ve never cry before - this is a tragedy-romance, with some undertones about karma, redemption and love. It’s like real life… amidst the sadness and horror, there is beauty and love.

Always hard to wrap up a series - the first 2 seasons were amazing, the third was good and season 4. Well let’s just say it had a different formula and they did what the MCU did to try and make sense of everything by doing the whole timeline thing. Not particularly creative but all the characters we love are here.

Similar to Dune 2 - the film itself is gorgeous, individual performance are good but did it move me? Was there anything not recycled from the original? It was hard to find.

Overall a missed opportunity - despite being based on an incredible true story, everything Guy Ritchie was aiming for. An off-beat Inglorious Basterds like pacing and darkish comedy just misses the mark. There’s lots of action but it feels vapid, almost fantastical and the dialogue feels like a waste of Henry Cavill’s talents. The writing just feels weak, and the characters caricatures of themselves down to the “bad guy” who never really amounts to much, like the movie itself.

If ever there was a movie you could call engrossingly boring, or boringly engrossing this would be it. The backdrop is of course our own backyard, but any nuances between who’s fighting who, and why is completely lost.

This video game adaptation is closer to Westworld in depth and intrigue than you’d expect. In short, well worth watching - the video game serves as a nice backdrop but that’s about it, the rest is a well developed story with enough twists and turns to make you yearn for season 2.

Just wasn’t that good - fun for small children I’d say but I doze off.

A real cinematic delight of the senses - enjoy it in IMAX, and where Villeneuve's sweeping landscapes and Hans Zimmer's thunderous score really transport you to another world. As for the story itself - well we all know the story, and the actors do a good job delivering, especially Chalamet. My one critique is that for a 3 hour movie, there were 1-2 critical crescendo moments of the story that felt "thin" like they rushed through it despite having ample time.

Simply brilliant. Season 1 has some pacing challenges but Season 2 is a masterpiece of intrigue.
