Gripping, sometimes uncomfortable watch. Beautifully filmed and I felt like I was there with him at many points. Fascinating how Jan became a symbol of hope for the Norwegian people and so inspiring to see the determination of normal people for him to survive. Can’t believe some of the sniffy reviews out there from the pros - as someone new to this story, I found it an outstanding piece of storytelling. Sometimes the detail of the little moments and the contribution of the ‘little’ people in wartime is far more powerful than massive pyrotechnics and CGI.
