I'm a 90s kid, but I'm very late to the party on this one. I started watching this recently on Netflix. This show had a distinct uniqueness and warmth about it (seasons 1-4). It definitely made me reminisce of simpler times, and brought me back to 15 again. Unfortunately I was bored and confused with season 5 and the majority of season 6. Where It just felt like a different show. It went from the (fictional) small coastal town of capeside, to the big city of Boston and I wasn't feeling it. Aslo the characters felt reinvented in a way that didn't make sense and it was a big disappointment. I actually fast-forwarded through a lot of season 5 &6. It Unfortunately didn't pick back up till the end of season 6 (last season) where they're all back in capeside. Last 3 episodes did not dissapoint. I just wish it would of shown the moment joey chooses pacy for the final time, as I feel like that was a pivotal point that we missed out on. All in all I enjoyed it, if nothing else for its nostalgia, the love triangle, joey and pacys chemistry & their romance, and how far back these friends (joey, pacy, dawson) go. I also love that this series was made to symbolize the creator's own childhood, living on a creek, hanging out with friends, and being a fan of film.
