It was 29 years since the last one. Maybe they should have waited until 30 years and take that extra time to polish the script. Just seemed to lack that magical quality that made the original such a classic. Some scenes were drawn out needlessly, such as the Hendrix/Mozart duel.
But at least they played the song they were supposed to create. I was afraid it was going to be a "ok let's play. 1..2..3.." and fade to black/end credits.
Lots of wasted character potential. I mean what was the whole point of Dennis' character after he died? He was never funny; totally pointless. Meh.
As much as I would love a fourth movie, I just can't see where they'd take it unless they pulled a Back to the Future 2.
