I understand why people may hate this movie, and yes, a lot of the dialogue is cringe-worthy; but that’s the only thing. I loved this film. I actually was able to get behind the characters and their pasts, which helped me to care about them when they got into a tense situation. The visual effects are great, the performances are actually not that bad, and the whole film has a great sense of realism. It makes you feel what it would feel like in that situation. I do think the original is better, but I also thing that this film is extremely underrated and shouldn’t receive as much hate as it does. This is one to watch and it is fresh in my book. 8.6/10
