Disappointingly Routine and Unimaginative!
As an ardent Akshay Kumar fan, it pains me to say that "Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan" falls flat on several fronts. The storyline is incredibly routine and predictable, lacking the intrigue or originality needed to keep viewers engaged. The comedy, which should have been a highlight, misses the mark entirely, failing to elicit more than a few half-hearted chuckles.
One of the most glaring issues is the film’s visual and character design. The look and feel of the characters are uninspired, and it’s particularly disappointing to see Akshay Kumar not experimenting with his character’s appearance. His role in "Gabbar Is Back" showcased his ability to take bold and refreshing stylistic risks – something that is sorely missing here.
The screenplay is another major letdown, plagued by poor pacing and unnecessary length. The story drags on, testing the patience of even the most devoted fans. Moreover, Prithviraj's talent is woefully underutilized, which feels like a missed opportunity to elevate the film.
In conclusion, despite my long-standing admiration for Akshay Kumar, I cannot in good conscience recommend "Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan." It’s a disappointing addition to his filmography, one that even his most loyal fans might struggle to appreciate.
