The precursor to "The Love Boat," and much funnier. Roy Roberts as the captain was perfect for the role, and he often stole the show. With her squeaky clean image, Gale Storm was a perfect match for him. Their father-daughter like relationship reminded me of her earlier show, "My Little Margie." Roberts was Charles Farrell with a deeper voice. Zazu Pitts, by then well into middle age, was a great mother figure.

The usual feel-good baloney. At least the acting was very good, but it didn't deserve the Oscar for Best Picture.
