Listen I loved these books growing up and as disappointed as I was that they were essentially taking something that could be used on it's own as the script with *minimal* rewriting, and tossing it into the garbage, I was ready to watch this with an open mind in hopes that it would at least be a good *movie* on it's own.
Unfortunately that hot garbage fire of a cinematic disaster was nothing close to passable. The editing was garbage, the characters (through no fault of the actors who were doing the best that they could) were boring and bland, there were 5? plots going on at the same time of which *maybe* 1 got resolved. Visually? It had some compelling moments but overall It was a disaster.
I'm assuming a chimpanzee broke into the writing room and replaced the script with crayon scribbles, because that's the only reason I can imagine this fecal-stained horror show being released from a ***multi-million*** dollar budget.
And for the people giving this good reviews: How much are they paying you? Really, I wanna know. Because I promise you it's not worth it.
