I watched this film on the big screen when it first hit the theaters. The scene that blew me away was when Jerry wheeled himself down the hall, trying to escape from Dr. Jonas, and ended up falling down the stairs, rolling and screaming, eventually escaping from the evildoer out into the street. Unforgettable! I also liked the references to Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye" of which there were many. The movie has more meaning if you have read the book. I have since bought the DVD and have seen this movie more times than I can even remember. It is my favorite Mel Gibson movie. Julia Roberts was also brilliant in this film.
