Hi, I’m actually Evelyn, not Maureen. When I saw the promos for this show I thought how even for a tv doctor Max seemed too good to be true and his words were so unrealistic and almost laughable. I watched it anyway since I like medical dramas. It didn’t take long before I found the actor playing Max to rise above what he was given script wise and completely win me over. I love him, corny unrealistic situations and all. Yes, it’s not reality, so what? Let me fantasize for forty minutes finally about a very attractive, nice guy for once. Usually they are boring but Max is really appealing with his goodness and sense of mission. I think I can stand a little of that these times. Also great to see beautiful British actress from Dr. Who again. She’s smashing! Carry on New Amsterdam, I want to believe!
