Take all the horror movies that you may have seen, pick things from here and there and you have The Priest. No original plotline, predictable, horror scene fall flat because you have already seen them somewhere. Seems like they thought to make a horror movie but make no effort to actually terrorise you. Apart from acting skills of the child actor who played Ameya, no other character grips. The priest himself could not produce that aura and mystique around him needed for such a character to make an impact.
