Despite a mess of time-related plot holes, at the end of the day, I actually enjoyed this movie. I could sit here and dive into so many paradox inducing plot holes, but really, why bother. The action was good, the actors did their jobs well, and the monsters were interesting and entertaining. The movie was a bit cliché, but in this day and age, going with recognized tropes instead of subverting expectations can be a good thing!
I will say that the pacing is way off, the movie is way too long, and despite its length, I feel as though we missed more relevant story elements. This could have been two movies in my opinion.
Despite its flaws, like I said, at the end of the day I enjoyed the movie, and was entertained for most of it. I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed Chris Pratt and Strahovski together, and I liked the ending.
