There was a serious need to raise voice against DOMESTIC VIOLENCE that prevails in most of the families and women are expected to seal their mouths on it. I thank to the makers of THAPPAD for generating such awareness and giving that courage to those women who are the VICTIM of this PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY to stand for themselves . Why women are expected to mend and repair those relations which are broken by men? Why women have to sacrifice their lives so that their men can grow? Where is the life of women in between this? Many women especially of the poor and lower strata of the society have adopted this TOLERANCE OF MALE TORTURE as their LIFESTYLE which needs to changed. The movie throws a light on little little sacrifices that a women daily makes for her husband and family which are completely ignored by others. A woman invests her WHOLE LIFE in that marriage and compromises her dreams to make that bond stronger. Men not only ignore her sacrifices but also strips all respect and dignity of a woman by VIOLENCE.
