I love shows on archeology, am a big fan of Time Team. So Digging For Britain is a real delight for me. I'm in Canada, so archeological sites here are limited to indigenous sites, or early French or British immigration sites. Not a Roman or Saxon site to be found! I'm jealous, seems that all the Brits have to do is go into the back garden and pop a shovel into the ground and PRESTO, a culturally or historically relevant site. They have all the luck. I hope there are going to be more shows like this, as I crave them. I took a Classical Studies BA at University of Ottawa several decades ago and never got a chance to use it, so these shows feed my soul.
