I wonder if this film is so damagingly disturbing and unrealistic, because it was made by MEN presuming to understand what it feels like to be a woman gaslit by men and abused under the male gaze. The film completely flails in trying to make a point because the very people crafting this film cannot even relate to the fraught female experience. It’s cringeworthy to watch the mediocre acting, script, and directing, then add onto it that a man directed these scenes, and I truly wish I could I un-watch this film. Ugh.
