There were two black cats who played the role of the psychotic cat; one called Blackie, and my lovely moggie, named Milo who appears in most of Frank the Feral cat scenes. Blackie was the first choice because he was quite feral looking, whereas Milo was incredibly laid back and devastatingly handsome. The film production team had an amazing Vietnamese animal handler who could get the animals to do anything, by using a whistle and hand gestures. Unfortunately, Blackie was, well, feral......Whereas MIlo happily did anything, as long as he got to have regular naps and lots of yummy food. Unfortunately, Milo died of cancer in 2000, aged 12 years. He was an enormously well-loved ordinary moggie, who just happened to be in a movie.
