This is the kind of drive-thru, revenge, pursuit film of my childhood. The kind starring Clint Eastwood or Charlie Bronson. The kind of flick Joe Bob Briggs would review.
It starts out preachy. Groan. I didn't think I was going to make it through the first ten minutes. No middle age white man, one part Capt. Ahab, one part the great white whale, has ever been so angry, so..Unhinged! No single mother with a terrible job, ungrateful siblings, sick mother (I'm not kidding) selfish ex husband, has ever suffered so. Then something happened and it clicked. It's a dark comedy, maybe even camp. And I started to enjoy it. It's so over-the-top it's ripe for Riff-Trax. Chris Farley could of played the, Man, in an old SNL skit.
There's even a candy cane reference in time for the holidays! Enjoy!
