Roger Ward

A stylish - and unneeded - second remake of the Kurosawa classic The Seven Samurai. All things considered this could have been a massive disaster. Watchable, but terribly vanilla. Beautiful cinematography and solid acting though. Not a patch on the original classic, but it's an adequate remake and there are worse ways to spend two hours.

A misguided, hollow reboot that is a far cry from the original Del Toro versions. The brainless story, combined with over the top violence and adult rating exclude the only demographic that would find this to be fun, young teenage boys. Pass.
